What does a warped pulley do?
I have one warped pulley in my car. Its going to be replaced under warrantee but I just wanted to know what the long term, short term effects are of it.
Is there any low end torque loss? I have noticed that my engine doesnt rev as freely at low rpm's. It might just be me.
Thanks!

Get the damn thing fixed. Who cares if you have a little low-end torque loss (though I doubt you would). Running the car hard when you know there is a problem is stupid.

I'm with Pull_T for this......even though I'm not a mechanic, having something warped running in a machine built on precision could have some adverse effects in the long run.....and possibly very dangerous. Could you imagine driving a car with bent valve stems?

If the pulley is the crank pulley..you could probably seriously damage something as all Hondas have harmoni balancers on the crank.

I don't run my car hard at all. I don't know why I am having all these problems.
I dont know the name of the pulley but when you open up your hood and look at the belts, its a silver one in which the belt runs underneath it.

I think it's your idler pulley... the warpped pulley, if not replaced, can potentially damage all the other components on the same belt drive. This includes power steering, A/C, and alternator. Worst case scenario, the belt might just fall off while you are driving,..not good indee.
