Ok this is a question I've been wondering about for a long time and I have yet to get an answer. I always here people referring to non-type S TL's as TL-P's. It seems they are especially referred to as TL-P's in base trim from the 99-03 2nd generation era. What does the "P" stand for? Can someone clear this up for me since I own one lol?

anything that isnt an TL-S.. is a TL-P(remium)

 

now....whats a-spec...huh huh huh..(serious..lol)

 

all the aspecs i've seen are Type S's

a-spec's are only available in canada and only available in type-s's i believe. they have colormatched grille trim, door handles, headlights, with a-spec written on badgings inside. the door/center console trim are also in an aluminum trim instead of fake wood. the seats and steering wheel are two tone. only available in nbp and abp.

There was only a TL-P when the TL-S became available, before that, it was just TL.

 

Do you have a picture of the a-spec? It is a gen 2 TL body style right?

if it was just a matter of price alot of us would have those parts..

apparently you have to OWN an Aspec to get parts for them. and they only sell the parts in Canadian Dealers.

IF you were able to buy some... shipping would be rediculous.

and finding used/salvaged parts? GOOD LUCK lol

if I were in the market for one, and one was for sale, id look into what the rules are as far as bringing in a car from a foreign country
