What does this sound indicate?

I am hearing this scaping noise while driving at slow speeds. I hear it best when Im close to a wall (example Mcdonalds drive-thur or paying a toll, coasting in parking lots. Its a pulsating scaping noise.

At first I thought it was my front brake replacing time indicator. So I bought new bra. pads and rmvd one of my old ones and noticed it still had alot of life left.

I first noticed the sound when I put my new rims on. When I speed up the sound gets faster, But I cant hear it when I am driving on highways, etc.

My 03 tl has 28367 miles on it

Do you know what it might be?
I am not really worried about it but should I be?

Pull your rims off and see if one of them is scraping the brake caliper.

Wind noise from your rims? I put some cross-drilled, slotted rotors on my front wheels and now I hear wind noise from them.

Anyway, the more important question is: You've got 28.3K miles on an '03!?! Wow! My '02 just went to 33K.

Later,

V.
