that's nice because the polished lip breaks up all that silver on the normal wheel...but all silver looks really nice too!

They have the same problem as my wheels, a thick rim, it makes them look smaller, they are 19's and people are always asking me if they are 18's. The Campionato SS7's look enormous and are available in 18 and 19, probably my next wheel.

I was lookin at those too but I dunno....25 lbs each for the 19s..thats about 8 lbs heavier per side

Isnt there a formula that says that 1 lb of rotating mass is 6lbs regular weight ? so 8 lbs heavier would feel like 48 extra lbs per wheel, so total of almost 200 lbs more....so if every 10 lbs mean 0.1 sec of the qmile....damn am I doing this right ?

I'm not 1005 sure of the formula, but yeah, I think you're right, it's a lot of weight when you get big heavy rims...getting my light Volks really mae my CL-S a lot faster and I know it will make a difference with the TL...I wonder if I should get those Volks...they look SO nice...but I dunnno if they'd be good on...
Faz, you get em, then I'll judge

That rim is very nice.. especially considering how light it is. You can take a look at the Racing Hart CP-035's... but those don't even have a center cap for them... so I think the special editions would be the right choice for a light weight, good looking, performance rim.

do anyone of you recall the gold top secret wide body supra? it was the cover of superstreet a couple of months ago. if so, this car had the gold faced, polished lip wheels made in the style of the te37...but it was 19" and called the te85 wheel.

The stock wheels weigh 26 lbs! And overall wheel weight is not the simple answer, it depends if the weight is near the hub or near the rim to determine how much effect it has on the acceleration of your car. And it's 100 lbs of STATIC weight = about 0.1sec, rotational weight is a much more complicated formula requiring a doctorate in physics to accurately calculate. But it's your car and if you want 18's, those look good and are SERIOUSLY light.

thank you for your input
I know there are a lot of external factors, I was just tryin to get an overall estimate how much lighter its gonna be....

I called the local VR dealer and they said these rims are gonna be available the first week of Jan

my volks are 12 pounds per wheel lighter than stock...and teh weight on the stock ones is around the outside edge, where as the Volks look a lot more balanced...

Happy to offer my opinion, everyone's got one, and that's why we're all here. :p
Sux about the delayed availability though. At least they are going to be limited edition, so hopefully not too many people will have the same wheel as you, it sucks to see some crappy car with the same rollers, then again not too many sh!tbox owners are gonna spring the dough needed for Ray's wheels.

Fazle, what's up? Didn't know this was you. You should try getting them in white (if they have it in white) with the polished lip, that would be awesome.

I don't get why anyone puts stickers on a car like this...even on the wheels. It must be a "boy" thing.

Love the wheel, but HATE any stickers on wheels or anywhere else. Makes no sense that people turn their car into a billboard.
