Post What to do about airbag warning stickers

I know this is nit picking but I as I sit in the nicely styled and hued (I seem to be one of the few who actually likes the black trim over the wood trim) interior of my TL-S the two brightly colored airbag warning stickers on the sun shades stick out in my upper peripheral vision. It doesn't look like they can come off - kind of melted in or something. Any ideas on getting them off or am I just going to have to cover them with some grey tape?

You know a car is pretty satisfying when your complaints are this trivial.

Side airbag ?
It happened to me today, but after checking the manual, it stated that it is a safety feature. Apparently, depending on your sitting position, if you block the side aribag way, the system may turn off the side airbag.

I know what you're talking about. I think grey tape is going to be the way to go if it really bothers you.

Cool

You know that label pissed me off when I first saw it, but a couple of months later I didn't even realize it was there. Now, I never notice it!!

Get a sharp knife and scrape it off.

A paint scrapper might work but I prefer the sharp knife.

One word of caution though. Don't do this while you're driving.

I think it makes mention of this in the manual so I'm probably being repetetive.

If you ever saw the gigantic yellow warning notice they put on the visor of a 1998 Nissan Maxima SE you would freak in comparison to the relatively obscure notice on the TL-s.

Just live with it. I can foresee the lawsuit years from now by the permanently disabled driver/passenger/child in carseat who bought the car from you caused by your removal of the safety warning. It might be one-in-a-million, but most of the big verdicts involve one-in-a-million circumstances. (Except for the Explorer/Firestone situations, which are more like one-in-ten).

How about a more elegant solution?

Most auto paint stores have the paint codes for interior parts, or can "scan" your shade and match it. Then get one of those handy mini touch up gun kits and shoot it. -
