Hi all. I had my first transmission replaced in November, 2002 with 22k miles. I had my second transmission replaced last week with 93k miles. What is the difference between this new transmission and the one they put in my car in November, 2002 (besides the oil jet)???

Since I am approaching 100k miles, my concern is that the tranny will go again and I will be out big money. I'm seriously considering getting rid of my '03 TL-S now because of the tranny crap. I drive a lot and have a kid on the way. I just don't feel like I can trust my car anymore. Knowing my luck, my tranny will die when I'm driving to the hospital while my wife is in labor........

Ever since i got my fifth tranny (with oil jet) installed on my 99 TL (65000 miles) i have had zero problems and the car is smooth as a baby's rear end.

I am slowly regaining my trust in the car

sorry to say this but i dont think you will be able to trust the tranny period. acura has 2 different unrelated tranny issues and they chose to address only 1 of them. the one with the oil jet kit which fixes the 1-2% that have the problem) the other issue that the rest of us have they havent done any thing for or to resolve that issue yet.
