what shade/color tints should i get?
more towards brownish/grey? or black, just like everyone else?
I wanna have some protection from the annoying sun and still have it look good.

for a silver car, i prefer a platinum/silver tint (however, cops might not feel the same way)

LOL, here in MO I have had 4 tint tickets. Haven't even considered taking it off. A $75 fine here and there is ok with me if I can have it the way I like it.

im just gonna get something like 27% or 25% , get that all around...

For probably the 100th time I completely and totally disagree with you. Any color other than black and you might as well not waste your money. Like others have said tickets aren't that bad.

 

did u know if u go to court for the ticket and win at least one case they cant trail you for the same case and give you another ticket so yea i duno that what i heard from a tinting shop i went to and correct me if i am wrong.

 

I have the same color car (AM) and have been thinking about light green with a slight reflection..like this..

Not correct. That would be like fighting a speeding ticket and winning, and being exempt from every speeding ticket after that. Its still breaking the law. Its just cheaper. And I just don't care. lol.

black man, color is dumb i had it on my TL when i bought it from the other owner, day one i went and got it wrapped in 15 all around except the windshield

 

just get black, 30% or 35%, i have to get 27% bk ny has a law that say
"more then 70% light should be transmissable thru the tints". This is how the courts interpret it.

once i saw my friend's BMW silver 540 with the silver/platinum tint and matched the car well, i was convinced that not all cars look good with just black. I'm not a fan of the big contrast that black tint and a silver car gives off.

the lexus pictured doesnt look that good...black would have been better. BUT put that same tint on a silver Lexus, then it would have looked good.

Most windows have a slight green hue to them b/c of the 70% factory tint on them so the reflective tint will bring out the green a little bit. SO, you dont need to get green tint per se, just get the reflective tint like the one pictured on the Lexus and you'll get a slight greenish hue.
