Post What can we expect in the second coming

2002's the yaer. The TL will be getting a freshening.

What can we all expect. I wonder if Acura will realize the most complained about aspect of their car: "bland exteriror styling (Motor Trend)?"

If they do decide to make the car somewhat more sporty looking, what can we expect? Anyone have any ideas?

What would you like to see in the 2002 "freshening?"

Just like in the past. I think Honda will just chage the grill and tail lights. It will look similiar to the 2001 model

Yeah, I think it'll be something minor like headlights/ tail-lights hopefully.

As for the Motor Trend's future speculation, we've already talked about them in the thread below: http://www.acura-tl.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002923.html

In the spy photo I saw, it looked a lot like the 60's Batmobile. I'm hoping for a Continental kit on the back and wood paneling, too.

The best thing for u TL owners wil be the TL s-type. Man a 2160 hp four door machine. THat is going to be one bad ass car, like a m3 sedan. Man i may have to get it in 2003 when my lease is up, well see what they have out them though

Yeah.. lets make the body "bolder" like the cheap-ass "yes my reviews are paid for" magazines.. lets make an Acura look like this years MonteCarlo, or better yet.. lets get body molding like the current Pontiacs.. a rear end like the Bonneville.. this is what these sick reviewers like.. it's AWFUL. Honda buyers won't admit it's the sleek sexy smooth lines that keep us there. They are awesome design styling queues, they are trend setting, they are not bland and boring, a Camry is bland and boring.

If honda ever puts out a fender flared, body molded lines, gawdy grooved bumpers, lumps here and there, I'll never buy another one.
