that is a subjective question that will be answered differently by everyone.

here are some threads to help you decide:

^I have HR Race springs. if you're gonna do springs make sure you get quality shocks too.

I have koni yellows.

this costs just as much as coilovers do p.s. why do people go this route instead of coils? well I personally was looking for a pretty decent drop that had a really nice steering feel to it. I like to drive really fast (bad habit) and I didn't wanna put excess stress by having coils. So while I can't slam to the ground, it's pretty low imo could use the lip kit, I was more worried about wheel gap which is all but eliminated in my setup.

the choice is yours, you could always go tien or eibach. I didn't have a pref so long as the drop was greater than 2 inches, I got the HRs for cheap and bit.

if I had to do it again, I probably would just get coils, or I'd get ground controls (Coils that still require shocks) but that's because while I didn't cheap out, my preferences have definitely changed since I first modded the car

see the sponsored sales threads- MrHeelToe is a suspension expert, located south of los angeles, he works with shock and exhaust makers on race cars to develope street car products,,his honda scrapes the frame rails on the ground--how is that for low?
Give him a call or email for fastest service,,number on thread postings

azine PMs get read last,,

low springs and stock shocks = 2nd payment or personal labor to remove everything when the stockies blow out from running lower than design intent

Tein coilovers are lower height but retain stock length of stroke, very cool
They soak up amazing amounts of road bumps for being so low on my 01TL on 18s/225/40 tires,
the SS model of the shock allows dampening adjustment with twist of a reachable screw- definetly spend the extra few hundred to have it!!
the wife complains the car is stiff?- no sweat--down pressure click click click and off we go

Get smaller wheels, or run some camber. You can pull the fenders, but imo it doesnt look right with our cars.

This really belongs in the Tires, Wheels, & Suspension section. Anyway, I would think for a drop of 2" a camber kit would be needed regardless. Regarding tire rub, I have seen other guys mention cutting wheel tabs??? I guess they cut out a section of the plastic fender well???
