What about a 2000 TL-P vs. a stock 2000 CL
#2
Absolutely not. Although a 2000 CL may be smaller and/or lighter (not sure), it only has a 3.0 liter engine at best. Carstats.com claims a 0-60 time at 7.8 seconds, versus 6.7 for a 2000 TL.
Perhaps you meant to compare a 2000 TL-P with the newer CL (2001+). A 2000 CL is the older body style.

Oh, that's right. I actually don't even think that they made the CL in 2000. I think the last old style was 1999, and then they released the new style in 2001. So what about a stock 2001 CL-P (?) vs. a stock 2000 TL-P? I think technically they have the same HP, but I'm not sure about torque.

Its all about gearing guys. I think the CL base has more "relaxed" gearing. Road and Track backs me up on this. The TL has slightly better performance both in the Type S vs Type S and Base vs. Base. (excluding the 6speed CL of course )
