Went to go get my springs put on and...

The acura guy told me "You know if you put these springs on they change the caster and if you hit a pot hole you'll never be able to align your car correctly again"

Anyone ever heard of this?

He said something to the effect that it was programmed to be a certain specification or something. I didn't catch all that he said but anyways he's putting the springs on as we speak.

You don't want to listen to the acura guy....they aren't the most reliable source, and are extremely biased. It's the same as if the car was stock, granted you don't have an extremely low drop and the appropriate adjusters. I wouldn't worry about it too much, let's put it that way

Mr. Bo Jangles,

Who is installing your springs and how much are they charging to install? I just received my Comptech Springs and looking for someone to install. All the Acura dealers that I have checked with here in Atlanta want $400 and that does not include the alignment.

I am thinking about having TireStar in Chambee install mine. They quoted me $290 including alignment.

Also let me know how you like your new springs.

He is charging me $300. He is an independent Acura guy who used to be the lead tech at Ed Voyles I beleive. Anyways I will be getting my car back today and will be posting a report with pics tomorrow. They are Comptech Springs by the way.

Mr. Bo Jangles,

Could you give us an update. Were you happy with the results?
Any squeaks or noise with the springs after the install?
How was your rear camber after the install? I have heard that sometimes this is off and that a camber kit may be needed.

$400 to get springs installed? Friggin costs more than the springs itself.
