a few days ago, while braking, my car stuttered to a stop as if the anti-lock kicked in at full force. the surface of the road was bumpy, but not bumpy enough to make anti-lock go all nuts like that...

ever since (or at least i started noticing) my engine makes a different roaring sound when starting out from 1st gear. when i step on the gas, i hear almost a liquidy kind of sound... kinda hard to describe...

anyone had problems like this before? hoping its not the transmission

u mean a sound sort of like a grunt, then a 2nd grunt a couple of seconds after that? if that is what u r refering to then its normal and its just the ABS getting primed. I did not noticed mine doing it until someone else mentioned it ... stereo is usually blasting.
