Weather complicates EVERYTHING!

hey guys, the tri state area is getting shitted on with rain/snow hail/sleet whatever the hell it is now. Most of southern connecticut is mildly flooded, with certain streets resembling rivers. I unfortunately had to go through a puddle , that was very deep, but i slowed down to about i dunno 3 miles an hour, and just let the car roll by itself through the [puddle. Is there any damage possible. I have a cold air intake without a shield, and i sure am regretting not getting one with it. please offer insight and/or signs i should look for if in fact water did get into the motor. thanks

Pull out the spark plugs, if you see what in the engine you're screwed, otherwise it should be no big deal.

No engine damage possible if you were able to drive.

Did the car bog down when you went through the puddle, if not your fine. Since you could drive worse case is a fouled plug. I'd invest in 2pc intake with a breather valve for the future though.

Look on the ground under your car. Are your pistons there? No? You're all good.

Your engine stops running immediately, and you hear metal on metal.

See my above post about pistons on the ground. Hydrolocking an engine is a violent event that'd be hard to miss.
