Question Waxing?

What is the best car wax? I've heard "Mother's" is supposed to be pretty good. How often do you apply it, and how soon from the date of purchase can you apply the wax. I just got my new TL and want to make sure it looks Awesome all the time.

dagg,

If you do a search I think you will find that we do not all agree to what the best wax is for our TL's.

Get ready for a lot of differing opinions
I've only used Meguiars products on my '99 TL. Their Gold Class Clear Coat products work great.
You can wax your new TL right away - that paint is done. Have fun and congrats on the new TL

Some of us will disagree on what to use but I have the Black try the Zaino products. I also have used Zymol wax Carbon to be exact. The reason some waxes or polishes are made for lighter or darker colors. This is true for Zymol (Carbon) is for darker colors Black,Red & Zymol (Cream) for lighter colors white, silver. Some are waxes some are polish Zaino is a show car polish & finish protector. So my point is someone with a lighter color car might not see as good of results as darker color car.
Zaino gets deeper & richer with multiple coats. I did not put the Zaino on last year when I got the car because it was winter time. I had Ziebart Tidy car put on some paint protection. But last summer I did try Zaino Wash & Gloss Enhancer. Both products worked very well. The Gloss Enhancer is the best spray detailer I have ever used. I have used Mothers, Meguiars, Eagle One & others but Zaino worked the best. I have owned 3 other dark color cars so I know what works well on them. So if Zaino Clear Coat Show Polish works as well as the Gloss Enhancer & the Wash its a winner. If you do go with Zaino make sure you follow their steps.
Also be sure to order the Clear Coat polish #Z2 because we have a clear coat on our cars. To answer your other question you can wax it at anytime now.Be sure to get good terry towels because some of the stuff auto stores sell are not that good & will scratch.
