Wax Wars ......
Okay just to prove a point in the constant - "what wax is best" war -
My hood, roof and trunk were recently repainted so I cannot wax them until they cure (about 30 days according to the body shop).
I can use a glaze though. There was some minor swirl marks as well all over (they washed it, part of the process and well - they don't use a very good method ! ).
Here are pics of my car - the car has ZERO, ZIP, ZILCH wax on it any where - this is about 3 hours of work using 3M swirl mark remover for dark colored cars and 3M hand glaze -
(notice in the first one you can see the clouds and other reflections in it - including my legs!)

here is the hood - one more time - see the reflection in the hood - there is no wax, zaino, UPP on her. Nothing but swirl free polished paint - (and some elbow grease..man I'm pooped)..
just wanted to show - you have to start out with good paint then when you follow up with a wax or sealant or whatever - you get true BLING BLING -
(now I have to go take a nap!

I've done the same regiment with the 3M, etc. Just wait a few months, most of the swirls will reappear when all the oils and junk in the 3M and the glaze wear away.
The 3M (and scratch-X for that matter) remove 25% and simply cover 75% of the swirls.
Go to any other car with swirls and apply the 3M stuff to a small area WITHOUT rubbing/working it, then gently remove it. It'll look scratch-free too (for a while), even though you didn't remove a damn thing.

I have used Klasse since day one and I haven't found any reason to switch from it. I am still on the original bottle (there's still about half left) and I've been using it every two months or so for the last 30 months (2.5 years). My car was purchased in May 2001. Here are the pics

groebuck1, very nice work as usual and no orange peel I guess you're going to slap on some pupp when the time is right.
vandy786, I don't think you posted enough pics :p
I've noticed the Klasse twins worked really well on a beige benz I did a week ago. You have no reason to switch, car is looking sharp.

I can't put anything on it
for another two weeks - the hood, roof and trunk have all been repainted (due to acid rain damage - looong story search on my handle if you want to read = thread is dealer hell I believe)
I have Klasee and that coupled with UPP is da bomb (topped with Trade secret Wax and I am going nuclear on shine!)
I have more aggresive polish (Poorboy's Professional Polish) I plan on using to remove the swirls (they were very light though and I followed up the car with a Glaze the I am pretty sure removed any fillers - after the SMR the car was smooth - after the glaze it the paint was more tacky - smooth to the MF towel but not to the touch).
When I can hit it full force it will be
Poorboy's Pro Polish using PC with Meg's Red pad
Klasse AIO - using Megs, yellow Pad
Possibly Poorboy's EX sealant followed with 3 layers of UPP - using the white wax/polish pad...
The only parts I can finish are the doors so I am just waiting until them - I am dying - I am a detail junkie -
BTW Vandy - looks fantastic - Just Klasse huh ? How often do you apply?
To be honest SK- it's not as good a paint job as the original but it's probably the best I will get - just makes it more of a challenge - next car? I think I will skip metallic paint!

Nice look Vandy! For my 2002 S,( Pearl White) I've been using Klasse all in one polisher one day, let cure overnight, than follow with Pinnacle paste wax in the 'AM' followed by a second wax later that day. This yields a deep mirror-like finish that lasts around 5 months here in sunny south florida. FlDave

Hey FLdave
You don't have to let Klasse AIO cure at all - it's totally wipe on wipe off - when I can use it - I use it just like that followed by UPP and it works just great!!! AIO is awesome stuff -

Groebuck1 and FLDave,
I apply Klasse AIO once every two months or so. In the time between the waxings, if the car gets dirty from rain I just go to the $1 spray yourself places and pressure wash with soap and water. That's all. The dirt just washes right off. I know you're thinking I'm a big cheat but I like this method even though I compromise a little bit of shine. It's very quick.

The glaze is on ;)
I used the 3M SMR and Hand Glaze on the painted parts -
Just last night I decided to go over the painted parts with my Poorboy's Pro Polish - still swirl free so I am guessing the SMR did it's job
But glaze leaves no protection so I have to keep it clean
I use Poorboy's spary and wipe every night when I get home and wash once a week.

I've been looking at Poorboy's spray and wipe vs. Protect All's QEW. Still can't decide which to try out. I aim to wash once a week also. Sometimes (like this past week) it'll go for 2 weeks. Depends on the weather.

Spray and Wipe
this stuff is da bomb. A little goes a loooong way, does all painted parts, windows too - It's not a QD in that it does not leave any protection but the paint still feels smoooth after using it. I can't say enough good things about it. I'm loving it so much I may change my weekly washing to every other week.

Groebuck, the AIO is wiped off immediately but I let it cure overnight before applying the Pinnacle wax. It's like applying a second or even third coat of wax, where you want to wait several hours between coats to let each application 'set'(ghoasting could occur). Anyway, I follow the directions from several show winners ( hard to disagree). When I first got my car I had to claybar the entire car due to airborn pollution. The surface was like sandpaper! Now it's slick as teflon!! Fldave

hmm interesting
I know Klasee says you can use right away...
I'm on the fence on clay bar - if I compound then I will be getting the contaminants out - but if you don't so that step then claying is always good
I'll have to ping my detail buds on the curing of Klasse.

I did a black Porsche Carrera this morning with Porter Cable polisher and Griots Garage polish and wax and it came out fantastic. Even though the car was fairly new it had moderate to severe scratches but the polish did an awsome job at removing them or minimising them(not just hiding them, were they reappear). After polishing the car I used G.G. "Best of Show" wax and it was beautiful when done. This is the same stuff that I use on my Tl-S with great results. According to the owner it was the best shine that they have had on their vehicle, and they have had it detailed on a regular basis.
My 2 cents
