Thumbs down Wavy interference lines on navi screen

Okay, I know I'm not imaging this so I want to know if anyone else has this problem. The last couple of days I've noticed when the car is running my navi screen has a very faint horizontal "zebra pattern" (the only way I can describe it) on it. The navi works perfectly fine and it doesn't obscure the display in any way but it *is* noticeable and it "dances" as the RPMs change in the engine. It scrolls up and down at a faster or slower rate depending on the engine RPM and seems most prominent when the car is between 1-2K (where it sits most of the time while cruising in 4th or 5th). When I shut off the engine but keep the ignition on the lines completely disappear. So it is definitely picking up interference from the engine.

I only noticed recently (it's very faint) but I know it wasn't there for the first few months I had the car. I've had my aftermarket alarm for a few weeks and I'm wondering if it is picking up some kind of interference from the wiring the installer did. I know the remote start taps into the RPM monitor and I don't know where they hid the brain, except it's somewhere under the dash (probably near the back of the navi screen).

Anyone have any ideas what's causing the interference? Anyone else have this problem? Methinks a trip to the dealer might be in order (and get my squeaky sunroof fixed at the same time).

I have the same thing in mine. As the rpms get higher, I notice less of the interference, so it seems like a ground loop problem that you can sometimes get in amps.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing out of the corner of my eye. I just figured it was sort of an "illusion" created by the dot patterns they use for the colors. Or something like that. I barely notice it anymore (or at least that's what I'm telling myself).

Exactly. Usually as the car shifts up 1->2->3 you don't notice it because of the higher RPMs. But as soon as I hit 4th and the RPMs drop under 2K it seems to be there. Weird thing is I never noticed it until about a week ago and I'm usually pretty observant about that kind of thing.
