Post it WASNT shifting,,,,

im in sport shift pretty much all the time...

while making a right turn, i came to a complete stop, in SS, it automatically shifted down to 1st, i take off, shift under 3K like i always do, and it just wouldnt shift!

i look at the shifter to make sure im in the right 'place', try it again, nothing. i let go of the gas, its revving at 4k, i just keep hitting the stick up, nothing! so i just put it into D4 and it goes back to normal. havnt had a problem since. this happened last night.

and no, i dont drive hard at all, and i use mobil 1
whats the deal? im guessing a just a fluke problem that will happen once every 5 years?

I have the same problem but in a reverse effect. When going down hill my car won't shift out of gear sometimes and revs all the way up to 3K then I have to go to SS and force it to a higher gear. Could the computer really have learned my driving habits that it won't shif sometimes?

I have recently noticed there seems to be a hesitation in auto mode in the first to second gear shift. Recently had it into the dealership for 15K service and asked them to check it out. They said it was operating per spec. I still feel there is a difference from when I first got the car. I ususally drive her very easy and get on it every once in a while. I will continue to have the dealership check this out at every service, that way if it has a trans problem out of warranty they will have to pay for it.
