Warranty Question

I am curious about the factory warranty's for an '03 TL-S, I am picking mine up Friday (as long as the car passes my test when I go see it). Its got 37k on it and it is not from an Acura dealer, the VIN is: 19UUA56893A031708. Don't these vehicles have a 50k warranty on them and how do I check if it has the extended warranty.

Plus what should I check/pay particular attention to when looking the vehicle over before buying. Thanks guys and keep up the good work, I have learned a lot from this site already.

https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login.asp?brand=acura You can register the car at that website to see if the tranny warranty is on your car. Besides that there arent major issues with car. Check the rotors to make sure there not warped. If the mechanic says its in good shape I say pull the trigger its a great car.

Actually I had the warranty extention notice from the class action law suit right here and if im reading this right your VIN is not covered. So you might want to get the acura extanded warranty which will cover mostly anything on the car till 100k. Once again im not positive on this so double check.

Have to agree with above.

Since its not part of the 109/7 warranty club- but still within the parameters
of a possible failure of a $4000 transmission, I would buy ONLY if the dealer will do the extended warranty for you. Pay a little now save a lot later

Well it is not from a dealer and a dealer is not going to add an extended warranty for me, that I know of. But apparently you guys know of something that I dont, what can I do to get the dealer to add the warranty for me. There is an Acura dealer down the street from the dealer I am buying my TL from. Thanks.

I think what they are saying is you can BUY an extended waranty, it's not free (the extended part) go to the Acura dealer and say you want to BUY an extended waranty on the car. Probably would be good for 6 years (from the time the car was originally purchased - not your purchased date) or 100,000 miles. Will probably cost about $1,800.
