Warranty going to expire on 99 TL?
Guys,
I have a 99 3.2 TL that I bought a year and a half ago. It had almost 60K on it when I bought it. I bought the extended warranty on it to cover me until 83K. I now have almost 80K on the car. My question is this, should I buy another warranty? To tell you the truth, I haven't had any problems with this car that required me using the warranty. But everyone is saying that the TRANNY will go out. I don' t know if I'm on the orig tranny as I'm not the original owner, but should I be concerned. Has anyone had a TL go the distance on original tranny? Love the car other than that.

We have the 99's.... the 99's are the BEST TL's!!!!! Sorry guys, but I do have a biased opinion! Thank God we have the 4-spd, and I almost have 80K on mine, and havn't had a single problem out of her. I wouldn't worry about it at all. I'm not concerned about the tranny issue. I don't drive it hard at all, just cause I dont want to create any problems with the car. So my advice, dont worry about mechanical problems right now. Obviously there will be some things go wrong as your mileage increases, and thats one thing you'll have to take into consideration when thinking of gettin another warranty. Dont stress too much.

LOL - I couldn't afford the AEM CAI... Its just a knock off CAI I got for a little over 100 bucks on ebay. Its the same as the AEM but without the name. I can even use the AEM bypass valve, which I havn't bought because I'm seriously contemplating buyin the actual AEM V2 intake. I'm still waiting for some reviews on it before I make any purchases. I really like the CAI. I notice some improvements, high end though. I think the sound is really cool. Sounds like dual exhaust off of a truck from your engine bay around VTEC range. I'm very happy with it, and it makes the engine bay look a whole lot neater I think. I havn't taken my car to the track at all, but I think I will shortly to see what my own times are, but I dont have any pre-CAI times to compare it to. Just go on ebay and search for "Acura TL" and you'll find about 9 pages of crap for our cars. Thats where I buy most of my stuff from.
