A few days ago I was on this site becuase I had just bought a 2000 TL and was worried about my tranny. I bought it off a used car lot with 38,000 miles for $14,000 and its show room condition.

I just called Acura and they told me I am automatically covered for 100,000 on the tranny and motor!

How sweet is that!

I feel like I got the deal of a centry now! I had no idea it was covered like that! I really lucked out. And they tell me its a $0 dedcutable.

I just wish I had some written proof of this covereage and it doesn't seem Acura has that, I just need my VI, but I wish I had something written.

When I get close to the 50,000 mark I think I am going to buy the extended warranty.

I want to start a TL meet in the Allison Park PA area....

Motor? never heard of our motor being warrantied for 100K...

Yes, that is what the Acura dealer told me today!

I haven't seen that in writing, but someone else mentioned that also.

If that cars VIN has been put in to Acura for certification then it has a 7/100k warr on powertrain.

Yes, I called Acura and it is true! I have to FAX the bill of sale and a letter today to them and they will mail me the certification in my name. That is so awesome. If the dealer knew that it was available he could of asked more for the car.

I am lovin this car more and more every day!
