Warped rotors or bad ABS?

ok so when i am comming down a hill and using the breaks i get this real nasty vibration all throughout the car. it hits like a warped rotor but then it also seems to be not consistant.
yesterday i got the feeling it was like abs trying to kick in for no need. its comming from the wheels and it really only happens when i am going down a hill, bigger hills its worse. this is all kinds of breaking, light or heavy and it is killing me!

i dont ride the break or anything like that and i havent pushed the car hard enough to get brake fade yet so i am perplexed. i was thinking it was just warped rotors but then why does it only happen on a slope? breakin is nice and smooth everywhere else but coming down the mountains it gets scary.

i just bought this car and i was hoping it was only rotors but i dont have much tech knowledge and i dont wanna go buy some new brakes just to find out if its an abs problem...

any advice/input would be wonderful
thanks
j

I was always lead to believe it was normal for the TL to shack a lot when the ABS kicks in but I could be wrong on this.

yeah but the thing is i am not hitting them hard enough for the abs to come on. this happens even on light breaking, the harder i go the louder and more vigorous it gets. but i havent even came close to locking up the tires hence the abs should not be engaged, right?

Hm then something does sound off. When my rotors were bad they would shake the car above 40 MPH no matter what. So im thinking maybe your ABS is kicking in when it should not be? I have never heard of bad rotors just sometimes skaking the car when braking. However, im not an professional on this. This is just my person experinence.

is it a front to back or side to side motion? front to back could mean that you need to bed your brakes because they might be glazed. if it wabbles, then it could be warped

If your abs was activating you would her it pulse like when in a panic stop. I highly doubt its your abs (not to mention it would probably be throwing some type of code) Try having your rotors resurfaced. They may be just starting to glaze
