Unhappy warped rotors

what happened to the info about all the issues folks have had with warped rotors. I did a search and found nothing. At one time there was 186 posts on this subject. I am bringing my type s in tomorrow cause I have warped rotors after 15k miles. I was looking for ammo in the event the dealer/service person stimulates my bs detector. :banghead:

Your warped rotors should be covered under warranty because mine was covered when I had 30K+ miles.

BTW, if the dealer doesn't believe you then take him for a test drive. But more than likely they will fix it with no problems.

Do they have to be warped to no tomorrow, or can they just be like showing signs of warpage?
I ask because I've about 30k miles and mine are starting to warp...
Thanks for the help.

Does your car shake a lot or a little when you press on the brakes? Either way, make sure that you can feel the vibration because if it doesn't vibrate, the shop might give you a hard time. Mine was definitely shaking when I pressed on the brakes.

Go to your dealership and have one of the techs/service reps go for a ride in your car. And as long as you can reproduce the problem, the dealer should fix it..considering your under warranty.

I have a little different situation.....I dont feel the vibration during city driving......but when I go on like the freeway and brake....not for speeding but just for freeway traffic......the vibration can be felt.......do people with warped roters experience vibration everything they brake (even in city driving)? or does it vibrate ONLY at highway speeds (like maybe 60+ mph)?

I'm experiencing exactly what CrazyMonkey is experiencing, a vibration only at highway speeds of around 60mph. Is this covered under the TSB, since surely this is an indication of worse things to come. Why should we be forced to "hold off" until the problem worsens to a level that necessitates a fix in the opinion of a dealer?

Can somebody else chime in?
