If you want to prevent them, here are some ways:

When you are going to some hard brakings, down shift so you take less pressure from the rotor.

Do not drag the brakes when trying to stop, tap on them lightly and give your car more distance to stop.

Do not wet the rotor when they are still hot

When the rotors are rusted from washing the wheels, slowly and lightly tap on the brake at a low speed to remove the rust.

After some hard brakings, try to avoid contact between rotors and pads. If you are stopping your car, stick it in neutral and pull the ebrake. This way, your rotors will cool a little faster.

Hard brakings will definetly warp your rotor, don't do it too often.

I wish we could "pull" the ebrake. No such luck on the TL, yet.

Make sure the lug nuts are torqued to spec. Too tight and the lugs will pull the rotor hat, warping the rotor.

I had the same problem. I had my rotors resurfaced and my front brake pads changed at 5000 miles! Go to your Acura dealer immediately. Some TL-S's have that problem and IT IS COVERED UNDER WARANTY!

While your car might have a 3 years warranty, but the brakes are only covered for ONE YEAR!

If you have a problem, goto get it fixed under warranty as soon as possible!

What?! The rotors aren't covered under the bumper-to-bumper warranty? You've got to be kidding. I can understand the pads but not the rotors.

Unless my dealer was ripping me off, I believe there should be no bumper to bumper warranty for anything that will be worn.....
