You should have done a search before you bought them. You would have found out that they are not even close to matching our HID's.

Here are some examples:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ght=silverstar
https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/cls-17-rims-tires-sale-62527/

I had them in my fogs before, they are slightly whiter than the stock halogens but not even remotely close to matching our HIDs if that's what you were looking for.

Yeah, you guys are right, i bought these tonight at PartSource cause they were on special. They look like crap, installed the passenger side first, fired up the lights and i could tell no difference.

I going to return these tommorow and pick up a pair of PIAA.

EAGlights from Midnight Moose are no where to be found as it appears that midnightmoose is no more.

Any one else have suggestions for upgrading my high beams?

A year ago I was planning to seriously get these for $50CND at walmart to replace my crappy looking halogen fogs in my 2002 TL, but I read the threads here, and it changed my point of view. Currently I have saved enough for a 6000k HID kit, and I don't regret it one bit.

yea, the funny thing is i researched it AFTER buying them, being the smart one that I am. I think I'm going to try to find the PIAA Extreme Whites, i think they called.

Well, if you go with the 100 watts, you will have a problem because the stock wiring is only designed to handle a bit more than the 55w, so 65w or so will be fine, but up at 100 you're walking the line.

What is this supposed to mean. Are they both 55w bulbs and the manufacturer is trying to say that they are as bright as 100w+ bulbs? The only thing that matters is the actual power draw.

If they are really 100w, don't get them. You could screw up your socket, wiring, and housing. People have been there and done that with bulbs like that on this forum.

Yeah - I have them. The do look stock, but they are brighter. Sylvania claims 30% brighter. They are really nice when you're going down a rural back road.

I had Silverstars on my old Accord and the color temp was way whiter than stock. I had good luck with them. Matching to HID's...different story. But for my Accord, it was a great improvement. Those will look yellow compared to real HID's, but in my opinion they look whiter than halogens

SilverStars LOL!!! I have had more problems with ALL aftermarket lights of the blue persuasion. They burn out way too fast. But the Silverstars... Well they blew up twice on me with my previous car. And I do mean blew up, they popped and my headlight housing cover fell off, on both sides, just not at the same time. There was nothing wrong with the housing, no water leaks, nothing like that. Anyone else have this kind of problem?

Nah, as a matter of fact I used gloves so that I didn't make that mistake. Maybe just a defect, who knows.
