wanting to blackout of abp fogs..

well my driver side glass was cracked for a while, and i plan on buying the lexan lens from ebay....and also purchased a hit kit for the fogs..

question is

1. by painting the whole housing a color, does it effect the light output?

2. what color, abp or a smoke.....i got a abp a-spec so the headlights and grille r abp...

i would thnk that it wouldnt affect the output as long as you dont paint the whole reflector...keep some of it chrome so that some light will still be reflected outwards...

i say body color of the car but smoke may look good too if the headlights are done smoke as well

good luck on ur project

It would affect the light output a little bit because you lose the extra light bounced off of the reflective chrome, but I doubt it would be very substantial. I'd vote for ABP to match everything else on your car.

with the HID's you won't lose much at all they're pretty bright to begin with, my opinion would be ABP like the car
