Walmart Fogs
I was in Walmart today and saw these foglights. I was wondering if anyone has ever used them to do the foglight mod.
They look like they have a similar shape to stock fogs, and they would fit in the space. They also come with all the wires and a switch. If no one has done this then why not? Why does everyone get expensive fogs when these are 18 dollars?
The only reasons I can think of is that people say "you get what you pay for a lot", or maybe HIDs dont fit in them. Other than that I dont know why.

They probably won't have to same output with the Walmart Branded package then you will with the OEM Foglights.
The Walmart Fogs probably use 880/890/H4/H11/H7
OEM Fogs use 9006/ or 9005 if you cut them to fit.
The output is greater, but if you are going for looks and appearance the Walmart fogs will work for you. To each their own though, and if you do the Walmart fogs then post some pics up! I want to see how it turns out.
P.S. I have OEM fogs BTW.

the OPs dont match up very well with the shape either but i have seen a ton of cheap housings that flow with the stock cut-out shape much better then civic round housing...
the empty driver side fog light area can be cut open to allow more air to the airbox- especially if you have removed the intake resonator box that sits in that area
Gets lots more outside air to the air filter

actually .... i think those ovals flow great...take a look at the car that they come from...there housin isnt oval..its a black rectangular housing

heres a civic with rectangular house n oval fogs....thats how ALL hondas are..som oval some round...housing are always wierd trapezoids..
I hate to be a bitch, but did anybody even read the box?
Those are NOT Foglights-they're DRIVING lights. Totally different light pattern intended for shining a bright narrow beam way down the road. True foglights have a wide pattern with a cutoff to keep the light low, wide, and close. If you put those on your car, it will be like you are driving around with high beams on and in actual bad weather, when you really need foglights, those will cause MORE glare and hurt your vision.
Pilot makes some pretty good cheap aftermarket foglights. That brand you showed might be alright, but buy actual foglights.

The fogs will cost you only $50 at most I think.
It wouldn't hurt your savings too much.
Then if you want HIDs you can get them down the road or all at once.
Everything together would cost you ~$110.

and you can compare them to the fogs that were made for the cars body lines from the factory (see jdm bumper) and they look years better... just my
thoughnotice how the civic has round portions on the headlight as well.. this is why it works with the front of the civic... our headlights do not have anything round on them.. or anywhere up front for that matter... this is why the civic fog light mod.. while working great.. will never look factory to me... everytime i see them i think immediately that they are out of place

your confusing housing with bracket... the HOUSING.. the the portion that contains and shoots the light out... and it is oval... the bracket around it is a trapezoid shape...

i get your point....but my 2 cents is that the jdm 99-01 bumper look good..but the fogs look a lil lame....oval ftw.... no beef...to each there own..
but i doubt the consensus of people would choose our bumper with civic fogs over the JDM bumper

if you'd choose civic fog mod over this, your loco mayne

I think the JDM bumper and fogs look great, but that seems a lot more expensive than what im willing to pay just for fogs. Ill probably end up going with the civic fogs. I dont have the time right now though so Im going to wait for a break from college, then do the mod.
