wacked-out windshield wipers??

anybody have any problems with their windshield wipers "going too far"???

like, when coming up, the wiper will actually go slightly off the windshield, bump up against the rain guard, and make a loud noise

similarly, when going down, the wiper will go too far and hit the black plastic piece at the base of the windshield

anyone have this problem, and anyone have any suggestions for a remedy??

i've already tried tightening the bolts that hold the wipers on to no avail

ahh actually mine did actually break they were hitting at the top and the bottom so it was more than a matter of readjusting (this was on my 99 tl). This is how i fixed them:

Ok you will need a connecting rod unit and the honda part number is "76540-S0k-A01"

once you get this part you will need to take off the plastic trim imediatly below your windshield then turn on your windshield wipers and it will be obvious which part is broken simply pop of the old on and pop on the new one (you may need a rubber mallet to get the new one on)

The problem is its a mettal ring on the road that wheres out making a loose connection therefore causing the winshield wiper to slip
