About 2 weeks ago I was on a 4 lane road, went to go around this lady (we were doing about 20MPH or so at the time)..
I floored it, it downshifted to second, got up to about 60 (i think) and i looked down (cuz the engine was still realllly revving) and i was just like a notch or two into redline!!

so i let off the gas and it still would not upshift...
I tried SS mode to up to 3rd and it still wouldnt -- finally after all that it decided to shift...

It was weird!

Now also when Im croozin along and like in 4th and it does its lazy down shift (i.e. im not going fast or gassing a lot) it sorta clunks, not like shake the car clunk, but this funny dropping out feeling when it shifts to 5th

Hhmm...better get it checked and fixed. That doesn't seem normal at all, lol.

I've been thinking about this a bit, and I did have a similar experience, which I posted about earlier.

Unfortunately, I don't have a link to the previous post... Essentially, I took off from a toll booth... I floored it and the transmission refused to shift up. It was a little wet out, and I experienced slippage as I accelerated. I had to slow down to near 40 mph before it decided to shift normally again.

I attributed it to the computer's programmed shifting of the car. I don't think it's directly related to the tranny problem I faced (gunk build-up from clutch material).

Don't worry yet... The tranny problem I expericened (as others have) is VERY apparent. You can't mistake it... The car is VERY hard to drive, if not impossible.

Tommy, did you get the 100k warranty when you were buying the car or did you get it like recently (or while you were owning it)? Let me know, cause if we can buy more warranty, I sertenly will. Just to let you know, I got 2000 TL as well but with "only" 37,000 miles.
