im trying to go get a pair of Vtech Stickers made at the vinyl shop next door

SOHC VTECH

but i dont know what font they use for either word they look the same, just one's filled in and ones not... i have like 200 fonts in photoshop and none of them match either.. is this a special font made from honda or is there a duplicate?

anybody happen to know the answer to this obscure question.

First you need to learn to spell it correctly VTEC

and thanks for the link. but since they dont make the SOHC stickers im getting these made at a shop which is why i was wondering the font.

and scanning a DOHC picture wouldnt do too much good for my car

gettin close.. i was goin for that horizontal layout, sort of like older preludes? and civic SI's maybe?

because the taller i go up, the smaller it would have to be.. and for some reason some i see use the same fonts for both and some dont... but thats not a big deal.. i suppose i could just do vtech

If I make it for you, what format will you accept?

I can make it in illustrator and send you the .EPS file. Is this print shop you are going to is any good, they will have the capabilites of opening it and printing it for you.

PM me your email address and I'll send it to you, Graphic Design is my job in case you are wondering.

 

Here is a JPG of the final version. Let me know if you wanna print this and I can email you the .EPS and .AI files for the print shop.
The colors can be changed to anything you want also.

Please, anyone else reading this, dont expect me to make custom decals for everyone and anyone. I just had some spare time at work, but you can ask nicely.

yea the store does alot of small stuff for free since they are next to my business... i usually just print up something and they can scan and go.. but the font issue was being a bish... and it seems there are many styles for those stickers... id just buy from the dealer if they made one..

i dont think the color will matter.. i was thinking of letting them paint over the sticker as a stencil so i wouldnt have to worry about a sticker coming off...

its gonna be body matched (along with door handles and lip kit pieces..) and if they sprayed a small area in the middle black.. then laid the decal over it, when they painted it FPR it would leave the black SOHC VTECH

it was just a thought. but i could sneak in some extra HP out of the situation like somebody said.

besides, pretending its not there wont make it go away.

also its not a banner going on the windshield.. its interior. i've always liked those symbols on older honda's... the design wont really make sense if it just says v(TEC) and dohc would just be dumb... so why not sport what i have?

i dont feel inferior for using an SOHC.. just what my car is.. me and like 2 other people will ever see it anyway

 

Nothing wrong with SOHC but it seems that Honda only reserves these special stickers for their very few DOHC cars. I don't understand why Honda didn't bother to step it up a notch on the Type-S like they did with their Civic Si. Didn't mean to offend but to each their own.

It's actually not a font but a custom logo.

 

If Acura put a 3.2L DOHC/VTEC V6 in the TL-S it would be crazy!

I read somthing about Acura not doing it in 03 cuz that type of motor would make more power than the same year NSX plus with Acura's older customer base it would be to much car and wouldnt sell.

Think of all that torque steer you would have!

my vinyl shop found the font somewhere.. but i ended up using JRhodes before then. but if i ever need something done in it again they'll be ready...
