Question VTEC Controllers

Anyone have feedback on VTEC controllers they've installed on their TL (especially TL-S')? I've been looking at the Apexi VFC unit but the install seems a bit risky with cutting into the ECU harness. If anyone can share their install experiances and use gains/losses, it would be appreciated.

From what i remember, the vtec controller really doesn't help unless your car is madly modded. Also, try doing the search with that kicka$$ install of the vtec controller in the sunglasses holder next to the homelink system. It's dang expensive, but cool as heck

Yep, what he said. Think about it: if there was more "free" power hanging around in the engine, don't you think Honda would've unlocked it? You can't get something for nothing in physics...

The more I think about it, the more I'm tempted to say "no". Honda and any other car manufacturer wants to raise the bar a little at a time, not go full bore and give out their latest technology. There may yet be "hidden power" in the engine masked by several performance-limiting designs.
