VIP LED "Puddle Lights"

I was wondering if anyone knew where to purchase the VIP white LED bulbs also known as VIP or puddle lights. I want to install them under my sideskirts as courtesy lights but cannot find the screw in type.

I've got blue 4 LED ones I've never installed. I almost picked up a set of 5 LED whites but I didn't feel like dropping another $120 on them.

~Cheers~

I bet cops love these or do they just come on when you open the door? That would be kinda cool. I don't know about all the time, don't need the popo attention. Damn, even when there is light out, those things are bright as a mug

Those look nice I do not see the style that you have on the companies website. Do they screw in? I have 5 5 white led units on each side going on when door opens but I want to replace them I think they are damaged.

Here's a big thread on them -- https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/fs-2003-3-2-cl-type-s-6sp-navi-164150/

Let me see what else I can find...

EDIT: Here's a DIY from the TSX forum -- https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31551

Can you wire these up to your courtesy lights so that they only go on when you open your door? or do you have to do the whole fuse thing that was stated in the TSX thread? I just found some on autolumination for sale so I'm going to have to think about and might end up doing this sometime during the summer, but I will most likely need all of your help.

These lights are wired to the dome light...so whenever the dome light comes on, so do these. Also, I have a switch which allows me to turn the lights on and have them lit constantly, or have them blink light a strobe, but I never use it.

Search "footwell lights" DIY. The wiring is the same cuz the footwell neons/cathodes/LEDs comes on when the doors open. You end up tapping the dome light wire at the passenger's side fusebox.

I love the puddle light look on the first picture. The only way I would do this is to have it on when the door is open, otherwise it would look kinda ricey

i followed the TSX diy (i think posted further up). i used the PVC method.

1) cut 3/4 inch circles out of pvc pipe
2) drill holes in side skirt with hole saw bit
3) hot glue or screw (did both) puddle lamp into pvc ring.
4) hot glue pvc to side skirt (the under non painted side)

a bit of wiring and thats all she wrote

I know I am in the wrong section, I have an 02 CL and I have the same setup from JLevi. Wired mine to the dome so it goes on and off with the dome light. Will post a video of it tomorrow.

Do the lights come on when you turn on your dome light from in your car not when you open/unlock your car?

they operate just as your dome light would if it were in the auto (? - not on not off) position.

for the puddle lights, i tapped a black/white stripe (or otherway around) wire in the passenger fuse box iirc. this allows teh fade, alternating ground
