yes the legend was replaced by the RL, and the vigor was replaced by the TL...the current TL is about as fast as the Legend...I believe, correct me if im wrong.

the RL replaced the Legend and the TL replaced the Vigor. The TL and the Legend should run even unless the Legend has the Type II engine which I think has more power. The Vigor was slow as hell had a friend who had one I used outrun him in my old Accord

This is the way I look at it. The 2.5 TL and the Vigor are the same car, powerwise. The Legend and the 3.2TL are the same car, powerwise. However, the RL was the replacement for the Legend. Hope this makes sense.

Just to clear up some issues, I had a 90 legend (my first car) and it was quick, but it was NOT fast. Now the 91 to 95 legends (automatic) were not that fast, I think they ran a low 16 or high 15 quarter mile. I drove a 95 automatic and it didnt seem any faster then my 90. The fast legend that was produced, I believe 94 and 95 was the two door 6 speed that had an extra 25 hp. I actually raced one up to like 80mph and he had 18 inch wheels and we were neck and neck (with my 00 TL). Plus plenty of people have told me that a 6 spd legend can burn stock preludes all day if you know how to drive it. The VIgor had like 167 hp and is really slow. I hope that this helps.

The 3.2 C series engine from the Legend got bumped to 3.5 and put in the RL. The RL is still a Legend everywhere but in the US. The 3.2 J series (You bastards have VTEC!)in the TL is not the same engine and this is what causes the confusion about the family lines. The 2.5 TL used the Vigor 5 cyl in its first generation. As far as speeds the 6 Speed Type II 230 HP Legend Coupes and GS Sedans are very quick with a stock top speed of ~143 for the autos and over 150 for the 5 and 6 speeds. Most people are running the 1/4 in the mid to low 15's stock with a few exceptions running as low as 14.1 with Nitrous. Quite a few of us Legend folks are interested with what will become of the new type-s's. Hopefully we can find a sutiable replacement for our aging beauties. Peace.
