Vibration from rear at 70+, searched
I already have a vibration from the front under light to moderate braking with, from the help of the other threads in the 2G forum, have deduced that is the result of a warped front passenger rotor, which I will be replacing this coming week.
Today while getting the car up to speed on the freeway, I noticed (really couldn't help but TO notice) a new, much more severe vibration coming from the rear passenger(?) side, but only up over 65-70mph...it almost felt like a flat at first due to the severity of the shaking at around 80mph, and also noticed a light "clunking" sound every once in awhile, like a lug nut had come loose and was bouncing around in the wheelwell. Under 50-60mph the shaking vanishes. Otherwise the car runs fine, nothing else abnormal.
I limped it home, jacked the car up and pulled the rear two wheels and tires and checked things out. Nothing is loose, both tires and wheels appear fine, the brakes *look* ok...anyone have any idea of what to expect when I take it into the dealer on Wednesday morning (the only time I will have the chance)?

Thanks Gfaze, I went and re-searched in problems and fixes, I hope to FSM that it's your diagnosis; however, I found a thread where another member had almost the exact same symptoms (at a lower speed), and it wound up being the passenger side axle/driveshaft assembly.
Neither fix I am equipped to perform myself (either tool or time-wise), so I'm taking her in to Peoria Acura on Tuesday morning...til then, it's back to the old project Civic. Which isn't a bad thing...just not as fast in a straight line, or as luxurious as the TL.

Ok. for your first post, how did you deduce that the rotor is one side over the other? 2nd Replace BOTH fronts. Not just one.
as for the sound in the rear. Rotate the front tires to the rear. and see if it goes away. that will help you figure out if its the tires/rims. Also have the rear shocks inspected.

I was actually going to replace all 4 rotors...come on now...I've been working on cars long enough to know not to replace just one rotor.

Something is missing...my
Have you check all of your bushings for the clunking noise, and is the vibration in the rear? if so how is that related to CV axles? It is either in the rear and not CV axles, or not in the rear and CV axles.
Also, if you have been driving with warped rotors for some time, your tires could be worn a bit out of round. Do you have any bent rims? have you or anybody that drives it hit anything? What kind of History are we looking at?
