Vibration from 45++

Vibration from 45++
As soon as I hit 40-45 mph, I get a vibration, you can feel it in the steering wheel and a little bit throughout the car..like the ride is a lil disturbed...
-It gets to its worst at around 65ish mph, and kinda came out of nowhere.
-I am 99% sure its not a bent wheel, because I havent ever hit any curbs, potholes, etc.
I have searched a lot and narrowed it down, sort of...
My ideas on what the issue can be:
-Off balance/alignment
-Warped rotors...There has been brake vibration for about a month now, but starting yesterday I have a vibration both on and off the brakes.
-Endlinks, ball joint, etc...Something in the suspension.
-Thats really all I can think of, I do know that my Front motor mount is shot, could that be a source of the issue?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

If it was your ball joints, you would hear a clunk every time you went over ANYTHING.
If your rotors were warped, then you would only feel it when you slow down. Your pedal would vibrate and your steering wheel would shake.
If it was the alignment, then you would hear things rubbing. Unbalanced tires would cause the tires to hum and cause uneven wear.
This sounds like an axle issue to me.

I'll see if it occurs under acceleration tomorrow.
Now is it safe to say that since the steering wheel is vibrating, that the issue is in the front?
Also, would the axle be reacting like this if it was bent, or is it just wear and tear?
There is NO noise. Only vibrations.

I have the same issue, I'm not really sure what it is. I had the axle checked at a speciality shop and no go. They found out my mounts were blown so I replaced two of them. I havent had a chance to check out my tranny mount, which I'm hoping it might be it. I switched to my stock rims and it helps out a lot but you can still till its there. I'm going to swap out the suspension to stock here sometime soon, some guys who experience vibrations said it went away when they raised the car up. Going to take my car into the dealership soon for a timing belt, I might just have them figure it out if I cant. Are you lowered?

if you know the vital mount that holds many things together is shot- that will allow axles to move as trans moves...stop searching until thats resolved
Plus some years have a vac boosted mount which causes rough running when mount blows
If the fluid is leaking out--replace it now
then test drive and say-hmm fix known problem first.....I seeeeee

put the car on ramps
look UP at the front motor mount from below and a thin trail of dust (leaking a long time) or fresh oil may be coming from it
Or you may see a few, 2-3 drops, on the ground just behind the radiator
Very strange fluid so you know its not engine oil or trans fluid

what about framework i hit a real bad salt pile durig the snowstorm in baltimore adn i believe i heard a mecahnic say i needed framework done? 500$? how does the frame effect my vibration i though only the axle effected the wheels

could probably bend a control arm- that would screw everything up too
Get a real estimate from another shop and fix the problem
NAPA has brand new axle assemblies for about 100 bucks

yeah mine does the samething, once I hit my avg on i-5 about 80mph, its fine. So I called this shop I was referred to, an acura/honda specialist for a 105k change ($567 cheeeeap), i asked hiim about the shaking and he told me chances are its my axles. I think I'm going to attempt to replace my axles. il'l let you know how that goes, because I checked a lot of things and they look ok.

Yea I'm interested in this as well, my car does the same thing... Switched out the wheel bearing and a couple suspensio.n components as well and it's still there.. All I have left. To check is axles.. Going to get alignment and balance tomorrow but I'm pretty sure it's not that cause the vibration is there with both my stock rims and aftermarket 19s... Keep us update when you switch out the axles fob !!

I had a similar problem. I had the motor mounts fixed and the problem decreased by about 60%. Next I replaced the upper ball joint (it had play in it) and the problem disappeared completely.
Previously I had another TL with a similar problem at low speeds. Believe it or not, it was 100% tires. The steering wheel even wobbled. New tires, no prob. Rotate your tires front to back to help rule out a tire or bent rim prob. While the car is jacked, try grabbing the top & bottom of the tire and pulling one side while pushing the other to test the ball joint.
PS: I did NOT have a "clunk" sound over bumps with my bad ball joint as one person suggested earlier......

yeah I'm pretty sure its the axle, I just gotta find out which one by taking the boot apart. Ive done a lot of research and even people on the CL side seems to have had this problem. When it shakes, the steering isnt jerking left and right, just straight. Tires has been changed and balance, on both my stock and aspecs, still shaking. Changed my front struts, even swapped my eibach with my stock springs, vibrating still there. Checked all ball joints, no foul play. Mounts has been changed about 3 months ago. But yet vibrating is got bad after the weekend so this week I will take off the boot on the axle and see which side needs to be replaced if not both. I'll update after that is done.

from what I read, because once you let off the gas then the vibration is gone, so people can stop posting about checking your tires because tires will cause vibration regardless if you step on the gas or not. I just ordered a new axle from autozone for 69 a pop, you can get a manufactured one for 59 but for 10 bucks more, ez. It doesnt come until wed and thurs my bday and friday-sun I'm going on vacation so I probably wont have time to change it this week. If I dont get lazy I will post a DIY, MAYBE.

well the outer portion, you should check the boot to make sure its cracked, if so then your cv joints are bad but you should be able to tell by the noise but the inner ones you have to take off the boot to look at it, from what I read. I'm just going to change both, I'm thinking its the drivers side axle from feel.
