upper strut bar problem...

Ok.... I just received H/Rs and was installing them today but..when I tightened those upper mount bolts, I think I did it just way too hard and broke one of the bolts and nuts completely. (the one sticking out from upper mount & holding strut bar) so I orderd a new upper mount and it is comming sometime next week. do you guys think its ok to ride like this for a while...maybe until next wekend?

STB is for added protection in case of a side collision, and to aid in reducing chassis flex during cornering.

You could take it off altogether and still drive around fine. It's not an essential, must component. It's for ADDED protection.

To break that bolt - you must be a REALLY strong guy! Anyway, there should be a torque spec in the manual for that bolt. Always check your specs!
