Smile UPDATE -- tranny replacement at 107K

I got good news from Acura. They agreed to replace my tranny at 107,000 for free. This is my first transmission for my 2001 CL-type S.

It took some complaining, but not much. The problem is that the dealership is so backed up with tranny repairs (still!) that it will take 2 weeks to get to mine done. I hope I don't have a complete failure while I wait.

Congratulations. I think Acura did the "right" thing.

I bought a used 2000 TL a little over a year ago. Acura sent me a letter saying the transmission warranty was extended to 100K miles. I only have 40K on it now. I will probably keep it right up to 99K!
