Yea I almost forgot about the RES. All of us have been waiting for a while now and still no RES.

 

Last I heard Doug was thinking about financing the RES himself.. through pre-purchases and such.

As of now... nothing has been decided. In all honesty... I would count it as a dead product. I don't think it will reach production.

ya gotta be kidding me! There were atleast 150 people who would preorder based on ONE picture and ONE dyno. If they could snap some more pictures/maybe some video of the dyno you know more people would put down money in advance.

 

Make that 151 people who are willing to pre-pay. I don't even have to see a dyno.

I know.. I was one of them. They did the poll both here and on acl.com as you know. Doug saw the results and it was determined that he would still need to come up with a good amount of money to go into production. Since then... I have not heard or seen anything about it which leads me to believe it's dead.... at least for now.

As I recall, they were not going to have any real news for us until October or November. So we still have some time to go.

Either way, I'm going to have to wait as I've got to recover from new wheels, tires, springs and sways.

Then I'm ready.

BTW - I recall that MMII might be out before MMI (RES), and that was an interesting mod as well.

Forget about the RES... After I purshaced my OBX headers for $500 shipped and gained 35lbft of SAE torque and 40 SAE WHP... I say get the OBX headers first, Period!

 

Ok the newbie used the search funtion ok yes Res makes sense optomising the SWR would give good gains indeed. Ok count me in as well I'm guessing it should fit an 03 car as well.

OBX copied from Comptech and SOMEHOW with the magic fairy dust they are getting nearly 10+more HP and 25ftlbs of trq?? Gimmie a break. The dynograph is fishy at best. You already had the pulllies, cai and plugs on your car and you dyno less than what a stock CLS will dyno. Then all of a sudden the obx headers go on and you are getting numbers that are off the charts. Something doesn't add up.
PLEASE STOP OVERSTATING YOUR HP GAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not saying that ur wrote zapata, but does any curtain that they are both EXACTLY identical *CT and OBX*? Just because it look like a duck doesn't mean it is a duck. Well, more gain or not, it's still half as much

Given all that has happened with this mod, I for one would NOT pre-pay, as I have serious doubts as to whether this mod will ever come to fruition. If it does I'll be here, till then.................
