Update for Navigation system

Is there or does anyone know of an update for my 99 TL navigation system? It's not the DVD type navi and I believe the latest version I have is from '02. When I bought the car (used) the navi wasn't working so I purchased the disk from Paul Mooney but like I mentioned, it's from 2002. Thanks in advance for any info!

Steve

From Paul Mooney's navhelp.com website:

"In Dec 2002 Acura released the last disk-based software map updates and no new update is expected."

So that's the most recent set of map data that you can get if you stick with the hard drive based system.

The other option would be to install the DVD-based unit used in the 2000-2003 TL. Acura is still issuing updated map data for that system although the discs are not cheap at $185. That's a very easy Plug N Play upgrade. I just installed a DVD unit in my 1999 TL.

Check out car-part.com for prices on DVD units:

The DVD navigation unit that I just installed was about $200 shipped through a car-part.com recycler. It was tested and it came with the security code and a 90 day warranty.
