So I took Ol' Red to the dealer this morning -- she got her oil changed and "Customer reports squeaking from moonroof. Lubricated and greased, problem resolved."

I left ... it still squeaked -- I turned the radio up -- it squeaked worse like usual. I went back

I demonstrated how you can hear this AWFUL squeal/squeak from like the center of the roof if:
1. Sunroof & shade are closed, radio on loud.
2. Sunroof in "Tilt" - shade open, radio on loud.

He looked for a TSB, there was none.

He called Ray Laks of Amherst and made an appt. for me there Friday... they apparently have some kinda noise findin' machine....
so wish me luck cuz its driving me INSANE.

Secondly -- when I flip the lumbar latch down to like make it "active" so to speak -- it rattles against the console something horrible. It didn't when I got the car -- then when I was cleaning windows I discovered that u could "turn it off" via the lever... since then and I've "turned it back on"
its been terrible

I have problem with my sunroof, seatbelf buckle and lots more...

That's the TL... what you can expect... those who got no problem at all... you guys are lucky... that's all I can say...

 

I have brought my TL back to the dealership 3 times for the squeaks and they are not fixed :-(. What can a guy do? Anyways, this probably doesn't help, but what is the lemon law? My friend got a new car out of it b/c he had to bring his car in for serious work a lot in the first 2 yrs but I dont' think this is serious enough to apply....

Sunroof was fixed...the dealer puts a silicone tape or something, problem solved...only other squeak is in the passenger seat...they never found it, but I hear it when there's someone sitting in the seat..oh well..

I thought the squeak on the passenger side was from the seat belt buckles...

Hey shoofin my legend passanger seat has a squeak also. This is what I did and maybe oit will work for you . Open your back door and grab the seat from underneath and pull back. For some reason it locks into place and no squeak. Try it

I've only gone once -- which they are sending me to Laks in Amherts cuz that one has some kinda noise finding machine.....

They are friendly -- I know the one salesman there cuz my grandparents bought a minivan from him -- nice guy -- of course still a salesman and only likeable to a point :p

But -- they had great luck with service when the van broke once.... they had an extended HondaCare warranty...
so...

Where exactly did you grab the seat from and are you pulling towrds the rear seat? Please explain.
