Update: I traded cars again :)

Some of you may remember me from when I had a 2001 TL, it had an incurable shimmy so I eventually traded for a 5-series BMW which I loved.

Being the short attention span guy I am, and also having an intolerable 45" commute each way for work the stick shift in the BMW started to get old ... so I traded yet again. Hello, Jaguar XJ8:

Gotta love Jaguar depreciation where you can get this beautiful 1998 XJ8 with 47K miles and an extended warranty good for 5 more years or a total of 100K miles for only $22,500. Yes, it's fast. It handles about the same as my TL which is to say a lot worse then the BMW. Gas mileage is horrible. Interior is nicer than anything I've ever sat inside of except my uncle's 1999 Rolls-Royce or a Vanden Plas which is the same as my XJ8 except stretched and with a few interior upgrades.

You guys gotta test drive one of these sometime, assuming you can stomach the styling.

Too young to drive one of those but maybe when I get older. Otherwise, nice classy car.

Nice car. And the '98 is pre-Ford, right?
A copperish tint would look nice, with at interior. The price and warranty sound great, too. :-D

45 minutes is nothing, I spend a good 3-4 hours in my TL everyday except weekends and no compliants here.

I love the interior of Jags. I only like the the Jags after 1995, esp. S Type (midsized model) as well as current XK8 and that model that you have. Those round headlights look better with certain colours like RED or silver.

Maybe too young to drive a XJ8, but certainly not a XJR (Supercharged 4.0L w/ 390hp). I'll take one of those anyday!!

Oops, I meant 370hp and not 390. Although I wish it had 390!
