If she can squeal and say my name, I'll take one too... "Good Afternoon, Rob. Please Fasten your Seatbelt."

Cool. I love automation.
I think automatic window control would be neat since our cars don't have the one touch roll-up windows. You might have a "ventilation" setting that opens all the windows and the sunroof. A "secure car" setting to close all windows and lock the doors. Controlling the interior dome lights would also be handy. I think other controls like headlights, radio volume, temperature, seats would be less practical and harder to implement. The idea is to make hard to reach or tedious controls easier to use.

Here's another idea: if the unit only recognizes your voice, you can connect it to an automatic starter without fear that someone else will steal it.

bebber - most of those have already been implemented in my car
the best feature is the fact that you can set "macros". so i have a "cruise mode" command for instance that opens all windows and opens the sunroof (it also locked the doors before but i got tired of that).
Aside from the voice rec i will also be making modules for standard automation. so for instance, one touch anything (one touch open everything possible ) plus little features like the window opening a little when the doors are open so your ears dont get slammed. Pretty much any electronic feature found in top of the line cars, will be possible. what I DONT wanna do is tie this thing to the starter. it IS very possible but then this is something critical and you dont want this thing going off on a recording of your voice
well .. more to come.. feel free to email me with questions / suggestions

this gadget will be for ANY car (well obviously it wont make your manual lever windows roll up but as long as you got electronic components, it will be able to control them)
so spread the word to all your non-TL friends

Now if I could just change the voice on the Navi to the one on the computer on the Star Trek series, I'd be set.

I guess that would drop the car 1.5", tint the windows, turn on the underbody neon lights, and put on just the right tune. Oyeah it would also call your lady and tell her not to worry or wait up.

average joe huh.. .well if the average joe can use a soldering gun and take apart car panels, then maybe, but i would really prefer that a professional does the install. right now the only "certified" installed for these things is StreetEffectz (Ron)
