Uninstalling head unit
i have a 2002 tl type s. my stock head unit displays errors everytime i go to play a cd. so now i wanted to purchase a new head unit. does anyone know if a clarion vrx745vd would fit my car and how much they go for since there a year old already. also the reason i was postin this is cuz i wanted to know how to take out the head unit. can anyone explain to me where i have to unscrew? i would appreciate it. thanks
whats up man. first off are you playing cd-r's? its a common problem for them to not work. certain ones do, others dont.
here's a diy on how to remove the center counsole/headunit

clarion vrx745vd is on ebay for like 650, nextag has it for 870. also, for future audio posts, click off topic at the top and then scroll down to audio. you will find alot of info there.

i got my panasonic headunit off cardomain...jus put in ur car an model an they show u everything that should fit in it, they also threw in trim kit an everything free with it so that was helpful
Goto a junkyard and replace your headunit for 250$. Since you drive 02, I assume it's the In dash changer, so it's not going to be a burned CD issue as that was solved for that year. Also, you can goto a stereo repair shop and have it fixed or search bose repair on google for some online shops.
