Uneven Tailpipe area

Hi, I have a question about the exhaust and yes I have done a search actually quite a few but I cannot seem to find that one post within a post that had a simliar problem I had. It seems like the driver side Tailpipe area hangs just correct and the passenger one seems like its way too up there. This is a problem since I do want to get the Pilot Tips and I dont believe it will clear the passenger side tailpipe area since it looks like its been pushed up. Anyone have any suggestions or have had a simliar problem before and how much would it cost to bend it down or push it down so I dont walk into a muffler shop and get ripped off. Thanks

Hmm gonna go look this up right now about bending the hanger. Thanks FSTTYMS for the help as always I just cant wait to get this fix so I can slap on those Pilot Tips since I dont have the OEM Body kit so the 8 incher is good enough so it doesnt stick out too much.

Yeah, the Pilot 552 tips are just right, if you don't have a body kit. I don't have a kit, so I put these on last week and they look great.

Arghh I really want to put those babies on since I see them on ebay for like 28 bux for a pair shipped. I just have to figure out where the hangar is and try to bend it. Plus I dont have a jack to push this sucka up to look around except the one that comes with the car lol. Bah if anything I ll take it to a shop for the peace of mind.

You don't need a jack to get under the back of the car and bend the hanger.

Aren't the hangers pretty strong?

Can someone post a picture with these tips. I really want to see what they look like. Do they only come in slant or do they also come in regular?

I got mine at Walmart for $12 each. I was actually really suprised that they had these. They are the slanted ones by the way...

man I just went to the car shop to have them check it out, I guess they didnt do much, It doesnt seem to be the hanger since it looks like its correctly shaped. I think the passenger side tailpipe area has been hit before since the tip looks alittle flat on the bottom, which explains why the it is pushed up, They were trying to heat up the pipe area and bend it, but it doesnt seem like it did much, so now im either left clueless and down 15 bux which is fine. Any other ideas? Maybe I should take some pics. Worst comes to worst I ll have to get 2 inch wide tips or 2 and half if it does clear and live with the uneveness

Correct shape is irrelevant. As mentioned earlier, you BEND the hanger to get the pipe to the right height.

LOL ok im sorry I thought the hanger was the metal piece that goes into that rubber that holds the exhaust. When you meant bent the hanger you mean the rubber piece? Sorry for being a noob. Im actually looking for the pics now so I can show you guys but so far I cannot find that pic that I found last time.
