im new to the forum and just bought a 99 tl. im looking into buying a full body kit, but am dont know much about mods for this car yet. is this the same as the oem kit? if not, is it still worth it?

This is only for the front lip, yes its OEM, it wont fit your car even though it says its been "modified to fit 99-01"

Plus thats a little high in price for just a front lip;..

Check wings west kit..... search search and oh yeah .... search

well the sides and rear will fit your car, but Im not sure about the front. Perhaps you should buy it and find out, then take pics, and let us know if it was worth it.

 

oh and since its fiberglass..... be prepared to buy a new one shortly after installing this one... especially when you pull up to that parking curb.... "crunch"

welcome to acurazine! Actually, this has been asked a few times here. The kit on ebay is made from fiberglass, so like what the other person said, it might crack rather easily. I was also thinking about getting this kit. There's at least one member that has this kit and has posted pics somewhere. According to him, the side skirts don't fit well, he had to do some work on them to get them fit. I think he said the front and rear lips fitted ok though.

No, not all the kits for the TL are made using fiberglass. On ebay they have the Wings West kit for like $670+shipping. Just search for "tl lip" and I think it's near the bottom.
