Question ?? for underbody kit owners

Just leased 03 TL-S with the underbody kit. The bend around the drivers side rear qtr does not sit flush against the rear qtr pnl. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, did you bring it back to the dealer or fix it yourself? If you fixed it yourself, what did you do?

Thanks,
Rob

I think this is typical of the body kit. There should only be a little space, like to slide change through. You shouldn't be able to squeeze your finger through it.

edit: I guess that sounded strange, I was giving the sliding change through as an example of how little space there should be, I didn't mean it to sound like it was designed to hold your spare change, hehe !

That's the way it fits on my 03 TLS as well. I haven't done anything about it as it's not objectionable to me.

Can you post a pic? I don't think mine has a gap, but if I have something to compare it to, then you might actually be showing me something!!

I've read that there's some slop in the mounting holes and that a diligent installer can get a good fit. If there's not enough slop, perhaps a round file could provide it.

yep! my rear spoiler also has the same gap... I guess I'm sort of "glad" to see I'm not the only one, as I thought I had installed it incorrect somehow...

Yeah I installed my kit the other day and I was going to post about it but I thought it was normal. I guess it is.
