u guys would go 4?
I really think that Acura-TL is a great car........But I love the Chrysler 300M.....Maybe it's made for old people....but just the fact that it's an American car and it has a great look and pretty good performance for a car it's size........ I give Chrysler PROPS....
My friend.....(99 BLACK TL) has one....... It's very nice and I find it the best car on the market right now, compare to the new Toyota Camry and the new Nissan Maxima.
I'm looking for a new car......I saw the new Camry, they want CND 37,000$$$ and for the Maxima CND 39,000$$$......WHOA
For the an Acura TL, it's as simple as this: u get wut u pay for.....
My question is for a Chrysler 300M special or the nomal one
(there abt 40,000$$$)......would u guys go for an American car that price or go or a Japanese car like the Maxima and Camry (it's about 35K-40K)???????????? 17

i have no doubt that the 300M is a great car...it has uncommon styling and a powerful motor...
but it's a dodge...i have never liked their fit/finish, reliability is a concern, and resale value isn't that great...
let's face it...daimler chrysler is mercedes-benz and then those other brands...

Chrysler...OK as long you have warranty.
300M-Boy...If you are willing to put down C$40,000+tax for the 300M, hey another $1000 wont kill ya, get the TLS, you will be much more satisfied (we are talking list here..you should get the TLS 2-3% below MSRP). Having driven a LH series car for 6 years, let me just say that they are great cars to drive WHILE UNDER WARRANTY!!!. After that....watch out. (but maybe I got the odd one). As for resale value... you'd be lucky to get $20,000 after 3 years on the 300M assuming you put 60k-80k kms. Everyone knows HONDAS/ACURAS hold the best resale period. When buying my TLS I was offered a 99 old TLP for C$28499 that had 72000k on it. Of course I wanted a 2002 TLS
If you want something cheaper, as I can see you are looking at the Camry and Maxima, why not get a TLP? Camry is more of a family car while the Maxima and TL-P are a little more sportier. I drove the Maxima SE (30Anv ed). and that 4 speed. YEEEK :o BOOOOORRRRRING.
Its up to you though...go for the CAR you like the best..after all you will be driving it for a while!

300 M boy, I can really relate. After looking at all sedans from a V6 Accord to the BMW 3 series, it came down to the the exact same 2 cars just 2 weeks ago. (But the Camry ? ? ?). Here's my 2 cents:
I liked the look of the M, loved the interior (especially that real wood w/ the luxury pack), and felt that you really get a lot of car for the $. Although initial acceleration is not great due to the economy-minded gearing, (which the special edition addresses, by the way) The engine was powerful enough, it handled pretty well and seemed solid as a rock. Optioned out, the price was in the same range as a TL or TL-S.
So why am I here in a TL forum instead of a Mopar forum ? When it came down to it, I just wasn't willing to experiment with $ 30,000 of my own money when considering resale and anticipated reliability. But I honestly hope that my reservations are incorrect and that these and other American-designed cars' build issues are a thing of the past.
Having said all that, I love my TL. My personal advice to you is to stop asking for advice from others and buy the car that pulls at your heart and just feels right to you. Good luck !
