Type S throttle body on a base model. Long story short my cruise control stopped working so I brought it to a mechanic he founded that the a piece on the throttle body was broken. I needed another throttle body so I purchased one online I brought it to install he called me later that day and said my car was ready.so when I picked my car up the Throttle response was different? I called him and he said the Throttle body that I bring him was to big for the air intake rubber boot and it ran like crap he said wouldn't idle so he took the part off the Throttle body I got and installed on my old one. When I checked it the TB was dirty as can be anyway can I use a type S TB on my base 3.2 engine if so what do I have to charge to get it to work properly?

 

Since you don't specify what year your car is, I used 2003 for both the base and TL-S.
You should have used part # 16410-P8E-A02 in your search to avoid getting the wrong item.

As you have already found out, the base throttle body is different from the TL-S.
