TYPE S Sways NOT BAD LAST NIGHT!!

Yesterday around 10:30 pm, comming back from St. Johns University, I was on the Souther State going about 70mph. Then came from behind this 94 Camry, and alos a 95 Grand Prix, doing about 80 and whipped past me. There was no one on the road at the time and it was fairly open, so I figured to let my baby join in on the fun. So caught up to them quicly and took them, then they realized what I was tryign to do and kicked it up a notch too. We were doing about 85 or 90mph and me in the middle lane with them on the outer two. I realized that if I wanted to, I could've blew them away by kicking it to like an insane speed but didnt want to, cuz as many of you people from NY might now, Souther State Pkwy has a lot of bends and turns. But what I did realize is that with every bend and turn, I would just blow them away, Everytime they saw a turn, they would dissapear in my rear view and I would still be able to take that turn at 85 mph.

I guess this would be only attributed to our Sway bars that come with our cars. I mean I know they aren't as good as comptech but last night they defenitely proved to be better than a Camry and also, a sporty 95 Grand Prix!! So last night, I was liooking forward to every turn, where I could out handle them, it was fun!!

Try the Jackie Robinson aka Interboro for the turns and curves @ 80mph ;D Even the FDR

The comptech sways do make a difference, you will definitely get less swaying and sliding.

Really? Are the OEM type S sway bar really that good?

I am not being sarcastic when I'm asking this but I tend to get alot of body roll when there are curves on the hwy.

The only other car I drove besides the TL was a 91 oldsmobile and I can definitely feel a difference but the TL still rolled.... with the comptech it is less.

Yeah I get that often, but thas why I stay away from the left and right extreme lanes and stay center. Most of the black ice is over there, but ur right, its not safe, but it felt good!

Southern State is fun.

I want to try the Bronx River Parkway up to White PLains. That is tight, lots of turns and bends, and up and down hills.

Even though I am in FL, I am tempted to drive up to pay the folks a visit :-). And hit the first and oldest Parkway in America ;-)

I think the stock sway bars are alot of fun. Out on twisty mountain roads the car leans and the tires squeal like crazy, as well as having the car slide around a bit. On the other hand, do the Comptech sways improve the ride and allow you to take corners at higher speeds?

I am not really happy with the stock sway bars, I am thinking of getting Eibach sways. My car turns like crap at high speeds and feels out of control, TL-S.

get some better tires, lowering springs, sway bars and you'll be taking those turns at a 100+ with ease
