Type-S for SS

I've spent most of my Friday night and into this morning attempting to put my TL back to stock. I have to leave behind the Viper Alarm/Remote Start, Comptech Icebox and Optima battery. So sad.....

I'm trading it in for a 2006 Silverado SS. AWD burnouts anyone?

I will have another Type-S soon! As soon as Acura can come up with an AWD version with the 3.5 liters of fury.

My experience with the 2nd gen TL-S has been amazing. I can't recall how many V8 drivers have expressed their as my Comptech Icebox is cuss words at them and my TL is pulling away without a second thought.

Amen. Thanks be to Gosh.

Gorgeous looking TL. I don't know if I'd be able to give it up for a Chevy, but still, have fun.

It is gorgeous, thank you. It's in mint condition. Agean Blue Pearl is my favorite. It will be hard to drive away from. But I need a truck. A black truck. A black truck with AWD and close to 400 HP.

His is a Type-S, your intake will be too long and his too short.

Nice pickup (pun intended) man! I don't like trucks much but the Silverado SS is one bad ass truck. Don't think you have it yet, but how does it drive?

Gave up my '03 TL-S for a '02 Camaro Z28 and never looked back. At this point I'm thinking I wouldn't give it up for an Acura. Unless it was an NSX, of course....

I realized that after I had posted. Still, the fact that he had a TLP intake made me think wtf?

Its sad to hear your moving on. Must be hard to say goodbye to the TL. But it is a clean truck and guaranteed its gunna rip.

Mods indeed. In this order.... Remote Start/Alarm, Pioneer AVIC-D3, Custom Subwoofer and amp setup, K&N or SLP intake.

It eats pavement for a living and it shows. We just got home from driving it home 120 miles from the dealership. It's amazing how many people get out of the way when you let out a 6.0 liter grunt. I think I might like this.

It was sad. The sales manager was astounded at the condition. My wife cried on the way out of the dealership parking lot.

Thank you everyone else for you comments and condolences. I'm not going anywhere. AZ for life son! Besides, I'm a vendor here and here only. FYI, even with almost 400 HP it's hard to get an AWD truck sideways. I'll try harder tomorrow. I'm still a little scared.

I drove a RWD Silverado SS a few months ago and it got loose all day. Sadly mine is AWD but this is my motivation... AWD Burnout link!!

Whenever Acura decides to share the TL's 3.5 liters of fury with all 4 wheels.... I'll have another Type-S in my driveway.

But I'm not going anywhere. Honda/Acura is in my blood. And this is, by far, the best online forum in the world. I'll slap the giblets out of you if you think otherwise!

A Mustang would be nice... But the TL is a combo between power and driveability. Which is a great combo. And for some reason I traded that for power and insanity.

I've got the slightly more sedate GMC Sierra Denali AWD with 6.0 liter truck. While it's fast it will never do a burnout - at least not in stock trim.

I think mine makes 325hp. I've considered some mods but $$ is flying out the door since I bought this friggin 02 TL-S.

We looked at the Denali too. It's damn nice. I'm glad that 6.0 came in AWD. My goal is to get over the 400 hp mark. Should be pretty easy with an intake and ECM retune.

Supercharger indeed. That will get you a ticket to a AWD burnout show!
