Post Type S paints quality control

Hey Everyone.

I recently purchased an TL-S ( satin silver) and looked at the body panels at the trunk and found out that the paint had some minor little bubbles by the truck and I was wondering if any other TL-S owners found the same sitation. I took my car to the dealer and asked and they said they would cover the charge to re-paint the panels for free.

There are a couple of scratches here and there, but was fortunate to take care of them using a scratch remover. Other than that, nothing wrong with the body of the car.

I have noticed paint "flaws" but nothing terribly serious. I am comparing the paint quality to my old '94 Lexus, and a Benz. Acura should really consider switching to the three-stage paint process of the RL, rather than the two-stage "mist" process of the TL and CL series.

I was comparing the paint to my parents mercedes and my Made in Japan Honda CRV and found out it's not made as well as the Japanese made Honda's but I guess you get what you pay for....

The 3.5RL uses a 4-coat 4-bake painting process. The MDX uses a 5-coat 4-bake painting process. The lowly Integra uses a 3-coat 3-bake painting process.

Ya, know what your talking about...Washed the car for the first time today(purchased last night) and noticed severe orange peel with some paint run marks on the very bottom panel just below passager side door.

Going to take it back to the dealer and point it out to them. Other than that the car is flawless.
